On August 1, workers began pouring concrete for the latest addition to the Westchase District trail system, the Westpark Trail. This 10-foot-wide trail is located just north of the Westpark Tollway, runs .6 miles east-west between South Gessner Road and Briarpark Drive, and connects to METRO’s Gessner Park & Ride lot (see orange line on map above).
Another trail in the works is the Wilcrest Connector Trail, a .3-mile trail also located north of the Westpark Tollway that will run east-west between the Brays Bayou Connector Trail and Wilcrest Drive (see purple line on map above). Both trails are scheduled to be complete sometime in November.
