The weatherman has said it will snow in Westchase District on Thursday, December 15. That’s when Wonderland in Westchase will bring not only snow, but also Santa and Mrs. Claus, the reindeer and much more fun to families who attend our 12th annual event. Kids can enjoy a petting zoo, fire truck rides, pony rides, a hay ride, laser tag, face painting, a climbing wall, as well as games and inflatables.
School choirs from area elementary schools will perform along with magician Carter Blackburn. Free hot chocolate and holiday treats will be offered by the members of First Methodist Church, while area restaurants will offer tasting samples of their specialty dishes. Additional food will be available for purchase from local food trucks.
Admission is a new, unwrapped toy or non-perishable food items, which will be distributed to area families by House of Amos and West Houston Assistance Ministries. Cash donations will be accepted to support First Methodist Houston’s local mission programs.
“It’s a joy to see so many families come back to enjoy Wonderland year after year,” said Quillian Center Director Tom Gaden, who chairs the organizing committee that brings Wonderland to life. “We’re preparing for more than six thousand guests this year and are looking forward to the opportunity to host this fun festival for west Houston families.”
The spectacular success of West Houston’s most famous holiday festival is possible through the generosity of our sponsors who underwrite the cost of Wonderland. Click here to download the sponsorship form.
