Westchase District is proud to have celebrated several new additions to the Library Loop Trail at the first-ever “Tales on the Trail” event, Saturday, July 23.

Elementary-age children participated in sidewalk chalk art activities alongside our mural artist Larry Crawford. They also participated in coloring activities and  story time, courtesy of Literacy Advance. Volunteers from PlayWorks led recreational games, some involving hula hoops and jump roping. While Trader Joe’s and the SpringHill Suites by Marriott offered grab and go breakfast goodies for all participants.

Sidewalk chalk artists left their imprint on the Library Loop Trail…at least until Sunday’s rains.

Kids and adults alike enjoyed the opportunity to borrow books from the newly installed Little Free Library. View more pictures of the event in our gallery.

Kids reviewed the selection of books a the new Little Free Library where “Take a book; Return a book” is the only rule.
